This award recognizes exceptional individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of education for students who with autism, intellectual disability, or other developmental disabilities.

Presented to an individual who reflects the ideals of the Division and who has made significant contributions to the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism. Criteria for selection include: (a) Exceptional effort and involvement in furthering the cause of persons with intellectual disability, developmental disabilities, and/or autism, and (b) DADD member.

  • Members and non-members can nominate
  • While not mandatory (except for Burton Blatt which requires at least two nominations), we highly encourage multiple nominations for each nominee
  • All nominations due by midnight on September 24, 2023
  • Award winners will be notified in mid-October and awards will be formally presented at the DADD conference in January 2024
